Whooping Cough, A Resurfacing Epidemic

Schools in Cedar Rapids, Iowa are going to offer free vaccinations in an effort to slow down the infection of whooping cough, or pertussis, a bacterial infection of the respiratory system. According to the CDC, this year’s outbreak reports the highest number of new cases since 1958.
