Agility Acquires RecoveryPlanner, Leading SaaS for an Integrated Risk Management

I’m excited to announce that Agility has acquired RecoveryPlanner, a five-time leader in Gartner’s* Business Continuity Management Program (BCMP) Magic Quadrant and also positioned in Gartner’s IT Vendor Risk Management Magic Quadrant. The acquisition of RecoveryPlanner further strengthens Agility’s position as a market leader, with more than 20 years’ experience helping professionals with risk and incident management, building business continuity plans, and managing programs. In addition, RecoveryPlanner has been recently named the DRI Product and Service Provider of the Year for Planning Software and Services.
We have seen an increased demand for integrated risk management and business continuity planning assistance, as many of you have had to rethink and adjust your programs as part of your overall risk management strategy. We’re excited to add the well-respected RecoveryPlanner tools, industry expertise, and credibility working with businesses like yours to manage complex, robust business continuity planning and incident management. RecoveryPlanner meshes perfectly with our simple, lighter approach to business continuity planning through Agility Planner, which you may recall we launched in November 2020 and met with high interest from the business continuity community.
In addition to renowned tools for business continuity planning, incident management, and integrated risk management, the RecoveryPlanner team includes master certified business continuity planners and industry experts who will join our Agility team. We’re excited to welcome Monica Goldstein, JD, CBCP, and former CEO, to Agility as VP Product Marketing; Jeff Goldstein joins as VP International Sales & Alliances. We also welcome the following certified business continuity planners and professionals to the Agility team:
- Sherri Flynn, Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISM), ISO Implementer, Business Continuity Planner; and DRI Consultant of the Year 2020
- Sally Cohn, Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), Associate Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (AFBCI), MIS
- Liam Pezzano, CBCP - Certified Business Continuity Professional, Business Continuity Planner
- Ken Bauman, CBCP – Certified Business Continuity Professional
Today’s acquisition of RecoveryPlanner marks the fourth acquisition in two years, as Agility continues to enhance our end-to-end business continuity solution, making it simple yet comprehensive for our customers to do business with one partner. In September 2020, Agility acquired Recovery Solutions, adding deep experience in the highly regulated banking industry. Doing so allowed us to provide audit-ready testing, reporting, and recovery services, integral for strong FFIEC compliance and resiliency as part of a banking business continuity program. In early 2019, Agility acquired Preparis, a SaaS emergency notification system that helps businesses alert and communicate with their employees at the touch of a button, on any device, no matter where they are located. In December 2018, we added Rentsys to further expand the flexibility and footprint of workspace recovery solutions, which has allowed us to better serve customers and offer even faster RTOs. We’ve rapidly grown to provide the industry’s only comprehensive business continuity solution, which helps organizations plan, train, test, alert, and recover—all in one simple solution.
Agility is pleased to announce this new acquisition, advancing our ability to live our mission: to reduce the impact of business interruptions on organizations and the communities they serve. We’re inspired to continue our 30-year legacy while adapting to the ever-changing integrated risk management and business continuity landscape with new tools, ideas, and innovative solutions.
